Gulf States Sales Group Inc. (GSS) is an independent manufacturer’s representative firm dedicated to the efficient marketing of plumbing, HVAC and building products. Our service area includes Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. We work for a small number of manufacturers that specialize in technically advanced products. These manufacturers rely on our time and expertise to be able to successfully offer unique solutions. GSS has personnel with the technical knowledge, training and ambition to market products to plumbing and HVAC distributors and building suppliers throughout our service area.

EXPERIENCE - The Principals in GSS, Finley McMullen and Bill Carnes, have over 20 years combined experience in the manufacturing rep business. Our office is supported by a team of customer service agents that are available to assist our customers in whatever needs they may have.

Our outside account managers are covering our territories on a regular and scheduled basis. They have many years of experience with the various products they handle and are available to offer support and information.

SERVICE - All of our associates are knowledgeable about our products and are available to provide practical solutions to your problems. We provide training, counter sales support, promotional literature and service manuals, as well as direct sales support, when our distributors want it. We have a proven track record in the Gas and Plumbing Industry.  Our office is able to provide administrative assistance in processing orders and handling day to day issues.  We don’t see the sale as the end of the process - but just the beginning.

TRAINING - We pride ourselves on the knowledge that we represent the full Rinnai line of products as well as Desa International hearth products. These are very technically advanced items that require extensive training. We are able to provide that training and we understand how important that is to all the users. We work with our distributor’s sales staff on specific sales training by product line, as well as education of the installer trade, the builders, and the engineers who specify our products. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - We represent a small number of manufacturers so we have the time to provide the technical support needed by our distributors and the contractors using our products, as well as the engineers and system designers specifying our products. Our team consists of some of the leading experts in the field of tankless water heaters, heaters and gas fireplaces. More importantly, we have complete technical support from our manufactures and we know how to get to that support when you need it the most. Our staff is available to assist in gathering all the knowledge you require. We have seen thousands of applications and have been on hundreds of service calls ourselves.
